167 Background: NIVO is the first adjuvant therapy to provide a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in disease-free survival (DFS) versus PBO in resected EC/GEJC following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy as demonstrated by CheckMate 577. Lisäksi selvitettiin, saavatko keskusteluihin osallistujat niistä yhteisöllisyyden tunteita. Aihe valittiin yleisen kiinnostuksen lisäksi siksi, että se koettiin ajankohtaiseksi ja tärkeäksi sekä Suomessa, tästä näkökulmasta, vähän tutkituksi. Tutkimus tarkastelee Helsingin yliopiston liikemerkkiä fenomenologisin tavoin ja semioottisia viestejä tulkiten. Siinä käydään läpi liikemerkin synty ja sen välittämän viestin kehitys kahden uudistuksen kautta. Työssä tarkastellaan myös liikemerkin vaikutusta organisaation yrityskuvaan ja visuaaliseen kokonaisilmeeseen. Tutkimuksessa tärkeässä roolissa on toteutetuista julkaisuista koostuva Portfolio -osuus, ja niiden kautta tehty liikemerkin roolin ja graafisen ohjeistamisen analysointi. Gene expression specificity of the mussel antifungal mytimycin (MytM)

Abstract We previously reported the nucleotide sequences and diversity of mytimycin (MytM) from the Mediterranean mussel, Mytilus galloprovincialis. Using real-time PCR (q-PCR), we observed that the MytM gene was mainly expressed in circulating hemocytes and to a less extent in the mantle. In vivo challenge with bacteria or with the yeast, Candida albicans, did not increase the expression as measured by q-PCR in hemocytes. By contrast, injection of the filamentous fungus, Fusarium oxysporum, induced a sudden and strong increase of expression at 9h p.i. (stimulation index of 25.7 ± 2.1). It remains unclear how the precise length of one-dimensional nanovehicles influences the characters of vaccination. Here, a unimolecular nanovehicle with tailored size and aspect ratio (AR) is applied to deliver CpG oligodeoxynucleotide, a Toll-like receptor (TLR) 9 agonist, as an adjuvant of recombinant hepatitis B virus surface antigen (rHBsAg), for treating chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Cationic nanovehicles with fixed width (ca. 45 nm) but varied length (46 nm-180 nm), AR from 1 to 4, are prepared through controlled polymerization and are loaded with CpG by electrostatic interaction. : Background/Aims: The aim was to characterise the antigen recognition sites of the variable T cell receptor α-chain (TCRAV) and β-chain (TCRBV) of T cells specific to the pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDC) in primary biliary cirrhosis. Methods: In 21 PDC-specific T cell clones isolated from five patients we analysed TCRAV and TCRBV usage by RT-PCR and sequenced the CDR3 regions. Results: Preferential expression of the TCR elements BV6 (6 clones), BV12 (4 clones) and BV1 (3 clones), and frequent usage of the joining elements JB2.3 and JB2.1 were seen.
