The influence of the mean stress on fatigue life of 10HNAP steel under random loading

Abstract This paper contains the results of uniaxial random load fatigue tests with different mean values performed on 10HNAP steel specimens. The experimental fatigue life was compared with the life determined according to different methods of amplitude transformation of the cycles. Cycles were counted with the rain flow algorithm and damage was cumulated with the Palmgren–Miner hypothesis. Incidence of Stakeholders in the corporate social responsibility of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises of Santa Marta

Abstract This article analyses the perception and application of corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices in a sample of 499 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the city of Santa Marta (Colombia) following the theory of Stakeholders. Specifically, the interdependence technique of exploratory factor analysis was used to determine the most influential Stakeholders in the execution of CSR practices. It was found that Stakeholders related to the value chain, the environment and corporate management favour social responsibility actions in local MSMEs. On some measures, France has the most integrated (and secularised) Muslim population in Europe. For example, attitude research shows that French Muslims share values closer to those of their non-Muslim neighbours than in other European countries (Connor 2010 391). Spectral analysis of the Neumann-Poincaré operator and characterization of the stress concentration in anti-plane elasticity

When holes or hard elastic inclusions are closely located, stress which is the gradient of the solution to the anti-plane elasticity equation can be arbitrarily large as the distance between two inclusions tends to zero. It is important to precisely characterize the blow-up of the gradient of such an equation. A sub-supersolution approach for Neumann boundary value problems with gradient dependence

Abstract Existence and location of solutions to a Neumann problem driven by an nonhomogeneous differential operator and with gradient dependence are established developing a non-variational approach based on an adequate method of sub-supersolution. The abstract theorem is applied to prove the existence of finitely many positive solutions or even infinitely many positive solutions for a class of Neumann problems.

Unified thermodynamic framework for nonlocal/gradient continuum theories

Abstract A thermodynamic framework, equipped with the concept of nonlocality (energy) residual, is utilized to address nonlocal/gradient internal variable material models. A unified procedure is provided for either nonlocal and gradient materials, which makes it possible to determine the thermodynamic restrictions upon the constitutive equations, and in particular the pertinent state equations, the consistent form of the dissipation power and the constitutive expression of the nonlocality residual.
