Kaustisen seutukunnassa on lähivuosina käynnistymässä neljä uutta luonnonvarojen hyödyntämiseen tähtäävää suurhanketta – litiumkaivoshanke Kaustisella ja tuulivoimapuistohankkeet Halsualla, Lestijärvellä ja Toholammilla. Hankkeiden investointiarvo on koko laajuudessaan jopa 1,5 miljardia euroa ja pysyvät työvoimavaikutukset vähintään satoja henkilötyövuosia. Tämän raportin tarkoituksena on esittää laskelmia näiden suurhankkeiden taloudellisista kokonaisvaikutuksista. Aino Palmroth on tutkinut väitöskirjatyössään osakkeiden myynnillä rahoitettuja tuulivoimaprojekteja Suomessa ja Tanskassa. Tutkimus keskittyy kahteen kansalaisten aloitteesta toteutettuun tuulivoimalahankkeeseen. Toinen on vuonna 1999 toimintansa aloittanut suomalainen Lumituuli Oy Oulun lähellä ja toinen Middelgrundenin merituulipuisto, joka valmistui vuonna 2001 Kööpenhaminan edustalle.Palmrothin mukaan molempien tuuliosuuskuntien toimijat ovat vetäneet hankkeisiin mukaan koko kolmannen sektorin toimijakenttää. A class of multivariate type I generalized logistic distributions

The logistic distribution has found important applications in many different fields and several different forms of generalizations have been proposed in the literature. However it seems, with a few exceptions, that there are not in the literature forms of multivariate generalized logistic distributions. In this paper we focus on the type I generalized logistic distribution and, based on a procedure of multivariate transformation of multivariate exponential distributions, we introduce a class of multivariate type I generalized logistic distributions. We provide some examples of bivariate and multivariate distributions of this class.

The increasing request for classic foods has led to a higher demand for cheeses enjoying a “recognition of quality” status. This phenomenon has also affected Sicilian dairy products, in particular protected designation of origin (PDO) “Vastedda della valle del Belìce” (VdB), a cheese traditionally available only during the summer season, but requested year round. The variations of the microbial populations of raw milk among the seasons influence the microbiological quality of the cheeses produced. The puzzles of daily life: The temporal orders of families when parents have non‐standard work schedules

This article investigates the temporal orders of families as the daily rhythms and schedules when one or both parents work non-standard hours. Our focus is especially on the often asynchronous times of non-standard work, on one hand, and of early childhood education and care (ECEC) services and other institutions, on the other hand. The data consist of semi-structured qualitative interviews of Finnish parents with a four-year-old child. The results show that the asynchronous times generated by non-standard working hours cause a wide range of collisions both in relation to childcare and ECEC and to the division of labour between parents.
