Tripartite separability conditions exponentially violated by Gaussian states

2014

Starting with a set of conditions for bipartite separability of arbitrary quantum states in any dimension and expressed in terms of arbitrary operators whose commutator is a $c$-number, we derive a hierarchy of conditions for tripartite separability of continuous-variable three-mode quantum states. These conditions have the form of inequalities for higher-order moments of linear combinations of the mode operators. They enable one to distinguish between all possible kinds of tripartite separability, while the strongest violation of these inequalities is a sufficient condition for genuine tripartite entanglement. We construct Gaussian states for which the violation of our conditions grows exp…

Open multistate Majorana model

2019

Abstract The Majorana model in the presence of dissipation and dephasing is considered. First, it is proven that increasing the Hilbert space dimension the system becomes more and more fragile to quantum noise, whether dephasing or dissipation are mainly present. Second, it is shown that, contrary to its ideal counterpart, the dynamics related to the open Majorana model cannot be considered as the combined dynamics of a set of independent spin-1/2 models.

QCD condensates from tau-decay data: A functional approach

2004

We study a functional method to extract the V − A condensate of dimension 6 from a comparison of τ -decay data with the asymptotic space-like QCD prediction. Our result is in agreement within errors with that from conventional analyses based on finite energy sum rules.

QCD condensates of dimension D=6 and D=8 from hadronic τ-decays

2007

Abstract The high-precision data from hadronic τ decays allows one to extract information on QCD condensates. Using the finalized ALEPH data, we obtain a more rigorous determination of the dimension 6 and 8 condensates for the ( V − A ) correlator. In particular, we find that the recent data fix a certain linear combination of these QCD condensates to a precision at the level of O(2)%. Our approach relies on more general assumptions than alternative approaches based on finite energy sum rules.

Combined relativistic and static analysis for all DB = 2 operators

2001

We analyse matrix elements of Delta B=2 operators by combining QCD results with the ones obtained in the static limit of HQET. The matching of all the QCD operators to HQET is made at NLO order. To do that we have to include the anomalous dimension matrix up to two loops, both in QCD and HQET, and the one loop matching for all the Delta B=2 operators. The matrix elements of these operators are relevant for the prediction of the B-\bar B mixing, B_s meson width difference and supersymmetric effects in Delta B=2 transitions.

Field-free molecular orientation of1Σand2Πmolecules at high temperature

2012

We analyze the control of field-free molecular orientation at high temperature by use of a two-color laser bipulse strategy proposed in Zhang et al. [Phys. Rev. A 83, 043410 (2011)]. A general study shows that there exist two types of linear molecules for which a different mechanism has to be used. For molecules with a large hyperpolarizability, a monochromatic laser pre-pulse is applied before the two-color laser pulse at a time close to the rotational period ${T}_{r}$, while for molecules with a small hyperpolarizability, the optimal delay is found close to ${T}_{r}/4$ or $3{T}_{r}/4$. We extend this analysis to the case of a ${}^{2}\phantom{\rule{-0.16em}{0ex}}\ensuremath{\Pi}$ molecule …

Quark mass dependence of the one-loop three-gluon vertex in arbitrary dimension

2001

The one-loop off-shell massive quark contribution to the three-gluon vertex is calculated in an arbitrary space-time dimension. The results for all relevant on-shell and symmetric limits are obtained directly from the general off-shell results. The analytic structure of the results for the relevant massive scalar integrals is also discussed.

Taming the higher power corrections in semileptonic B decays

2016

We study the effect of dimension 7 and 8 operators on inclusive semileptonic B decays and the extraction of |Vcb|. Using moments of semileptonic B decay spectra and information based on the Lowest-Lying State saturation Approximation (LLSA) we perform a global fit of the nonperturbative parameters of the heavy quark expansion including for the first time the O(1/mb^{4,5}) contributions. Higher power corrections appear to have a very small effect on the extraction of |Vcb|, independently of the weight we attribute to the LLSA.

Topologies on Partial O*-Algebras

2002

In this chapter, we introduce some basic locally convex topologies on partial O*-algebras and we establish general properties of these topologies. In Section 4.1, we compare the graph topologies induced by different O-families on the same domain (and the corresponding families of bounded subsets). In the case where the domain D M of an O-family M is a (quasi-) Frechet space, the structure of bounded subsets in D M can be described in a rather explicit way. Section 4.2 and Section 4.3 are devoted to the topologization of (partial) O*-algebras. Section 4.2 deals with locally convex topologies, the so-called uniform topologies τ u , τ u , τ * u and quasiuniform topologies τ qu , and Section 4.…

σ-Continuous and Co-σ-continuous Maps

2009

In this chapter we isolate the topological setting that is suitable for our study. We first present 2.1–2.3 to follow an understandable logical scheme nevertheless the main contribution are presented in 2.4–2.7 and our main tool will be Theorem 2.32. An important concept will be the σ-continuity of a map Φ from a topological space (X, T) into a metric space (Y, g). The σ-continuity property is an extension of continuity suitable to deal with countable decompositions of the domain space X as well as with pointwise cluster points of sequences of functions Φn : X → Y, n = 1,2,… When (X,T) is a subset of a locally convex linear topological space we shall refine our study to deal with σ-slicely …
