We compared participation and performance trends of individuals with disabilities competing in the half- and full-marathon in the ‘Oita International Wheelchair Marathon’ from 1981 to 2011. The performance times decreased during the 1980’s until the middle 1990’s and stabilized thereafter for both half-marathoners and marathoners. El estudio que se presenta analiza las relaciones entre actividades de la vida diaria y bienestar con la edad y el género en personas mayores. El diseño de investigación fue una encuesta transversal a una muestra de 566 sujetos residentes en la provincia de Valencia (España). Los participantes contestaron a distintas secciones incluyendo ítems sociodemográficos, una medida de actividades de la vida diaria (Índice de Barthel) y las Escalas de Bienestar de Ryff. Animal microbiota plays an essential role in keeping the physiological status of the host healthy. This microbiota consists of hundreds of different species that inhabit the host, and whose composition varies on a daily basis due to multiple factors as diets, medicine intakes, lifestyle or diseases. It is a highly dynamical system that shows variability even when the host is in a healthy condition, but visible changes happen when the system is perturbed. Vidzeme, one of the cultural and historical regions of Latvia, became a part of the kingdom of Sweden during the 17th century. Subsequently, Swedish cartographers mapped the estates of Vidzeme and then compiled maps of larger territories then called castle districts. The present research inspects 11 of these late 17th century maps and analyzes the microtoponyms found there. For an illustration, the maps of Sāviena (Sawensee) and Aburti (Lüggen) estates are chosen. Maģistra darbā pētīta Vidzemes guberņas latviešu daļas pagasttiesu un zemnieku virstiesu darbība, funkcijas, biežākie pārkāpumi un nepilnības no 1889. gada Krievijas impērijā īstenotās tieslietu reformas līdz pat zemnieku tiesu iestāžu likvidēšanai 1917. g. nogalē. Darba gaitā tika secināts, ka zemnieku tiesu iestādes pēc 1889. gada Krievijas impērijas tieslietu reformas bija kļuva par pilntiesīgām tiesu iestādēm, kurās darbojās vietējo pagastu zemnieki. Pagasttiesas un zemnieku virstiesas bija iedzīvotājiem pieejamas un spēja nodrošināt iedzīvotājiem viņu interešu aizstāvību un veica arī pagasta sociālās funkcijas visā to darbības laikā.
