Se aportan datos sobre las tiledas ibéricas, que se agrupan en tres asociaciones fitosociológicas dentro de la alianza Tilio-Acerion: Hedero-Tilietum platyphylli (pirenaica y prepirenaica), Helleboro occidentalis-Tilietum platyphylli (orocantábrica) y Ononido aragonensis-Tilietum platyphylli (oroibérica). En el seno de la primera se proponen dos nuevas subasociaciones: la típica, fraxinetosum excelsioris (pirenaica, silicícola, con estratos arbóreo y herbáceo muy ricos), y festucetosum gautieri (prepirenaica, calcícola y más pobre florísticamente), que pretenden explicar algunas variaciones observadas en su área de distribución. Abstract During the Quaternary, bovids are common elements in the Italian local faunal assemblages (LFAs). Representatives of Bovini tribe are continuously present, albeit with different lineages. Caprini are sporadically recorded by several genera, and Antilopini are less represented, only during the Early Pleistocene in the middle and early late Villafranchian local faunal assemblages (LFAs). The Ten-eleven translocation (TET) enzymes oxidize the DNA base 5-methylcytosine (5mC) to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC). This DNA hydroxymethylation process generates a stable epigenetic mark, the 5hmC, that is able to regulate gene transcription. In fact, TET proteins and the 5hmC modification are relevant during embryonic development and cellular differentiation. Specifically, in the case of the small intestinal epithelium, the highest DNA hydroxymethylation levels are found at the villus, where 5hmC is preferentially deposited at genes that define mature enterocytes. En el presente trabajo hacemos un estudio exploratorio en el que pretendemos medir la creatividad en relación con el talento matemático, basándonos en los trabajos de Roza Leikin (con su permiso). Seleccionamos dos muestras de alumnos, una formada por estudiantes de entre 15 y 17 años participantes en el programa ESTALMAT (dirigido a estudiantes con talento matemático), y la otra formada por alumnos del máster, con una sólida formación matemática. A cada participante, le pasamos un test con 4 problemas de matemáticas que son tareas de resolución múltiple, y les pedimos que den tantas soluciones como puedan de cada uno en un cierto límite de tiempo. Epidemiology of tattoo skin disease in bottlenose dolphins Tursiops truncatus from the Sado estuary, Portugal

We report on the epidemiology of tattoo disease in a community of bottlenose dolphins Tursiops truncatus from the Sado estuary, Portugal. The presence of tattoos (T++) and tattoo-like (T+) lesions was examined in 586 photographic records of 35 dolphins taken from 1994 to 1997. Images were rated into 3 categories: good (GI), average (AI) and poor (PI). Dolphins positive for T++ lesions were observed in 19 GI. Dolphins with T+ lesions were seen in 39 GI, 23 AI and 6 PI. For statistical analysis the dolphins were divided into 2 age classes (immature and adult) and the data grouped into 2 periods (1994-1995 and 1996-1997). Se presenta un estudio sobre la diversidad cultivable del ambiente marino empleando técnicas de cultivo tradicionales e identificación mediante secuencia parcial (aproximadamente 1000 bases) del gen ribosomal de la subunidad menor de aislados bacterianos quimioheterótrofos obtenidos a partir de agua del Mar Mediterráneo y ostra cultivada. Dado el enfoque taxonómico del estudio, las cepas consideradas de interés han sido aquellas cuya secuencia del gen 16S rRNA presentaban una semejanza menor del 98,0% con las de las cepas tipo de las especies más cercanas.
