Change in the policy and ideology governing social and health care has been much debated in the Western welfare states, including in Finland, where the public sector has witnessed a shift towards a market and managerial ideology in a climate of austerity. Käsittelen 1930-luvun taitteen Herbert Marcusen fenomenologista marxismia esimerkkinä synteesin mahdollisuudesta. Näiden perinteiden yhdistäminen vaatii kuitenkin ensin syventymistä Marcusen ajattelun pohjana toimiviin hegeliläisen ja weberiläisen marxismin perinteisiin sekä Martin Heideggerin muotoilemaan fenomenologiaan. Affective Estrangement and Ecological Destruction in TV Crime Series Fortitude

Koistinen and Mäntymäki examine how graphic violence evokes affect in the context of ecological destruction in the UK-produced TV crime fiction series Fortitude (2015–17). They argue that the series mobilises generic exchange by incorporating speculative elements into a traditional crime narrative structure, thereby creating space for affective estrangement.
