Abstract The article discusses the various German Shakespeare editions produced by the Deutsche Shakespeare-Gesellschaft (German Shakespeare Society) between its foundation in April 1864 and the end of the 19th century. The society’s eclectic editorial output ranged from a critical edition in 12 volumes (1867–1871), through multi-volume editions for the theatre and for German families (1870–1878), to a cheap one-volume edition (1891). All these editions were based on the Shakespeare translations of August Wilhelm Schlegel and Ludwig Tieck and his circle (Dorothea Tieck and Wolf Heinrich Friedrich Karl Graf von Baudissin), published by the Reimer Publishing House in Leipzig. In this article, the author reflects on the associative models chosen by Spanish working and popular classes since the middle of nineteenth century in order to defend their interests, especially in the case of the difussion of culture and education. It is remarkable the continuity and success of some inherited prototypes, as it happened with the «ateneos» until the years of the Spanish civil war. At the same time, workers' organizations tried to satisfy an extensive range of demands by developing multifunctional centres. Examples of these were the «Casas del Pueblo» (People's Houses) erected by the socialist movement.

Resumen: El presente trabajo pretende rescatar del olvido una de los conventos dominicanos más desconocidos del ámbito valenciano. En concreto, el de Corpus Christi de la localidad de Carcaixent, en la ribera del rio Xúquer. Fundación tardobarroca ésta, erigida en 1654, objeto ya en el siglo XVIII del interés histórico de uno de sus primeros confesores. Hablamos de fray José Agramunt, autor del inédito Parayso de Dios. Resum: La figura literària de Griselda és mostra fefaent de la dona maltractada psicològicament. Des del conte de la literatura popular -font del Decameró-, tanmateix, ha anat canviant de status. A fi d’observar el recorregut als segles següents, cal partir de les versions medievals de Petrarca i de Boccaccio, lligades a la de Metge, ja que el relat es difon a través de les versions en llatí, italià i català. Per fer el seguiment temàtic en textos catalans, recorrem a documentació de caràcter popular o marginal, contrastant-la amb el curs dels relats griseldians, incloent alguns en castellà.
