The trope of sight has been the central metaphor in North American whiteness studies sińce its very inception, that is, already before whiteness studies emerged as a separate field of study. The centrality of the trope stems not only ffom a particular applicability of the sight metaphor to render subject-object relations, but also ffom the unique presence of “sight” in the very relations between racial groups in the United States, in particular Alfican Americans, and whites. This work introduces a Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol designed to allow a group of underwater robots that share a wireless communication channel to effectively communicate with each other. The goal of the Underwater Multirobot Cooperative Intervention MAC (UMCI-MAC) protocol presented in this work is to minimize the end to end delay and the jitter. Modelling and analysing oriented fibrous structures

Abstract. A mathematical model for fibrous structures using a direction dependent scaling law is presented. The orientation of fibrous nets (e.g. paper) is analysed with a method based on the curvelet transform. The curvelet-based orientation analysis has been tested successfully on real data from paper samples: the major directions of fibrefibre orientation can apparently be recovered. Similar results are achieved in tests on data simulated by the new model, allowing a comparison with ground truth. peerReviewed

Założenia dotyczące celu badania wskazywały na wyższy poziom lęku i stresu u policjantów Wydziału Kryminalnego. Hipotezy te związane były z charakterem pracy mundurowych danego oddziału. The Large Observatory For x-ray Timing (LOFT) was studied within ESA M3 Cosmic Vision framework and participated in the final down-selection for a launch slot in 2022-2024.
