Katalysatoren beim thermischen Abbau von Polymeren, 1. Über den katalytischen Abbau von Polypivalolacton

1981

The ability of different metal oxides and acetates to catalyze the thermal degradation of poly(pivalolactone) into cyclic oligomers has been investigated. Magnesium oxide was found to be the most active catalyst which converts poly(pivalolactone) completely into oligomers within less than two hours at 547 K. The influence of temperature and catalyst concentration and the distribution of cyclic oligomers is discussed.

Design of Low-Dimensional Ferrimagnetic Compounds: New Magnetic Lattices in the “EDTA-Family”

1987

The ability of EDTA to wrap around one metal atom (M′) while still providing bridging carboxylate groups to a second atom (M) is the basis for the obtainment of a wide variety of low-dimensional bimetallic ordered systems.

The ‘Irving–Williams’ Order in the Metal-ligand Stretching Frequencies of Some Metal Hydrazine Complexes

1960

MANY infra-red spectra of metal complexes have been examined in the 2–15μ region, but until now very few co-ordination compounds have been studied in the caesium bromide region in which some metal-ligand atom-stretching frequencies are expected1. Furthermore, no correlation between the frequency of this vibration and the nature of the metal has been found2.

Exploiting redox activity of MIL-100(Fe) carrier enables carvacrol prolonged antimicrobial activity

2021

The design of efficient food contact materials that maintain optimal levels of food safety is of paramount relevance to reduce the increasing foodborne illnesses. In this work, we develop a smart composite MOF-based material that fosters a unique prolonged antibacterial activity. The composite is obtained by entrapping a natural preserving food molecule, carvacrol, into the mesoporous MIL-100(Fe) material following a direct and biocompatible impregnation method and obtaining particularly high payloads. By exploiting the intrinsic redox nature of MIL-100(Fe) material it is possible to achieve a prolonged activity against E. coli bacteria due to a triggered two-step carvacrol release of films…

ChemInform Abstract: Magnetic Properties of NiIICrIIILayered Double Hydroxide Materials.

2009

This paper describes the isolation of four layered double hydroxide (LDH) compounds having the general formula[NiII3–xCrIIIx(OH)6](CO3)x/2·yH2O [x = 0.57 (1), 0.69 (2), 0.81 (3) and 0.93 (4)] by using homogeneous precipitation methods and varying the metal ratio in the synthetic solutions. All the reported compounds have carbonate anions in the interlamellar space. This fact forces the interlayer distances to remain unchanged in all the cases, thus providing an ideal system in which the changes observed in magnetic properties can be correlated with metal composition along the hydroxide layers.(© Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Surfactant based synthesis of oxidic catalysts and catalyst supports

1995

The preparation of mesostructured metal oxides based on the surfactant controlledsynthesis of MCM-41 is presented. It can be expected that the new metal oxide materials will exhibit a high surface area of nearly 1000 m 2 /g and could have a possible use as catalysts, especially in partial oxidation reactions and as hosts for quantum sized material, if the surfactant can be removed without destroying the structure.
