There are many vantage points from which to gain a perspective on digital culture. The intersection of mathematics and mathematical tools with all things digital is one such vantage point. This implies an inspection of mathematical software. The broad lines that can be taken are the practice, education and application of mathematics. This thesis focuses on practice and application, disregarding education. With regards the former it is shown how the practice of mathematics itself has been affected by the increasingly pervasive computational nature of our world. The demand for high-speed ultrasonic scanning of large and complex components is driven by a desire to reduce production bottlenecks during the non-destructive evaluation (NDE) of critical parts. Emerging systems (including robotic inspection) allow for the collection of large volumes of data in short time spans, compared to existing inspection systems. W duszpasterstwie dzieci ważne zadanie spełniają głoszone do nich homilie i kazania. To przepowiadanie zostaje poddane naukowej refleksji w oparciu o paradygmat pastoralny. Przesłanką większą są wytyczne dokumentów Kościoła odnośnie przepowiadania do dzieci i to, co napisano na jego temat. Zaś przesłanką mniejszą wybrane homilie i kazania, które ukazały się drukiem i te, które są głoszone. Zestawienie przesłanki większej i mniejszej, a więc teorii i praktyki, pozwala na sformułowanie postulatów odnośnie przepowiadania do dzieci w Polsce. Zaproponowano 10 postulatów. Déjà sur HAL; Remote access to large meshes is the subject of studies since several years. We propose in this paper a contribution to the problem of remote mesh viewing. We work on triangular meshes. After a study of existing methods of remote viewing, we propose a visualization approach based on a client-server architecture, in which almost all operations are performed on the server. Visualising knowledge from chat debates in argument diagrams

This study investigates whether combining chat discussion and construction of an argument diagram stimulates students to formulate new ideas in practising argumentation. In this study, 16 secondary school students discussed vivisection and gender equality in pairs using both free and structured chat tools. In structured chat, the students selected and completed partial sentences provided by the computer. After the discussion, they jointly constructed either argument diagrams freely based on the previous discussions with an Internet tool or modified a diagram the computer had constructed automatically during the structured chat.
