miRToolsGallery: a tag-based and rankable microRNA bioinformatics resources database portal

Abstract Hundreds of bioinformatics tools have been developed for MicroRNA (miRNA) investigations including those used for identification, target prediction, structure and expression profile analysis. However, finding the correct tool for a specific application requires the tedious and laborious process of locating, downloading, testing and validating the appropriate tool from a group of nearly a thousand. The usage of digital marketing channels in SMEs

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to provide insights into the utilization and goals of digital marketing, and examines factors that influence the adoption and use of digital marketing channels in SMEs. Design/methodology/approach – The data comprises semi-structured theme interviews in SMEs among 16 managers and 421 survey respondents in Central Finland. Findings – The results of this study reveal that SMEs seem not use the full potential of the new digital tools, and so are not deriving benefit from the opportunities they provide. Background To describe life-space mobility and explore associations of motor and non-motor symptoms with life-space mobility in people with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Methods About 164 community-dwelling persons with PD (mean age 71.6 years, 64.6% men) received a postal survey and a subsequent home visit. Motor assessments included perceived walking difficulties (Walk-12G), mobility (Timed Up and Go test), motor symptoms (UPDRS-III), and freezing of gait (item 3, FOG-Qsa). Aiempi tutkimustieto osoittaa, että fysioterapiaa ja apuvälineitä, terveys- ja hyvinvointiteknologiaa tai etäteknologiaa yhdistävää tutkimustietoa on vähän. Tarvitaan lisää tietoa apuvälineiden, teknologian ja etäteknologian käytöstä fysioterapiassa, niiden yhteydestä fysioterapian ydinosaamiseen sekä siitä, mitkä tekijät vaikuttavat niiden käyttöön fysioterapiassa.
