Abstract The MCA tuning problem involves finding the most appropriate values for the parameters (or coefficients) of Motion Cueing Algorithms (MCA), also known as washout algorithms. These algorithms are designed to control the movements of the robotic mechanisms, referred to as motion platforms, employed to generate inertial cues in vehicle simulators. Abstract The δ18O record of well-preserved shells of the inoceramid Inoceramus hercules from the Upohlavy working quarry (Czech Republic) provides an insight into the climate variability in the late Turonian benthic environment of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Similar to modern bivalves, this inoceramid species built its shell near equilibrium with the oxygen isotope value of the ambient water. Due to the nearly year-round shell growth, sequentially sampled δ18O values allowed to estimate the narrowest sub-annual temperatures fluctuations that prevailed during lifetime of the organisms. Automatic vascular staplers for vascular anastomoses in kidney transplantation may dramatically reduce the operative time and, in particular, warm ischemia time, thus increasing the outcome of transplantation. Ten pigs underwent kidney auto-transplantation by automatic anastomotic device. Kidneys were collected by laparotomy with selective ligations at the renal hilum and perfused with cold storage solution. To overcome the shortage in length of renal hilum, a tract of the internal jugular vein was harvested to increase the length of the vessels. The present work proposes a new approach to measuring efficiency of evolutionary algorithm-based Machine Translation. We implement some attributes of evolutionary algorithms performing cosine similarity objective function of a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm then, we evaluate an English text set for translation precision into the Spanish text as a simulated benchmark, and explore the backward process. During the transition between warm-up and competition there is a change in core, muscle and (eventually) skin temperature that may affect swimming performance. We have aimed to assess skin temperature evolution during transition phases of different durations before a typical front crawl effort and to investigate its relationship with performance.
