Characteristics of Intrapreneurs in Scale-Intensive Service Firms

This empirical paper explores the work of employees in charge of service innovation when firms develop and launch new scale-intensive services by addressing two research questions: i) How do employees responsible for service innovation work? and ii) what are the related managerial implications when developing and launching new scale-intensive services? To this end, 21 qualitative, in-depth interviews were conducted with employees in five large scale-intensive service firms. “Pamatlīdzekļu uzskaites apakšsistēma” ir lielākas informācijas sistēmas NIPIS (Nekustamo īpašumu pārvaldes informatīvā sistēma) sastāvdaļa, kas atbild par pamatlīdzekļu pārvaldi. Sistēma sastāv no divām daļām – pie NIPIS sistēmas piesaistītā daļa, kas atbild par pamatlīdzekļu pārvaldi, importu un izdruku, un neatkarīgā SETSUnits daļa, kas ir lietojama uz mobilajām ierīcēm, un nodrošina pamatlīdzekļu un piesaistīto bilžu pārvaldi un pamatlīdzekļu inventarizāciju, kamēr lietotājs neatrodas pie datora ar NIPIS sistēmu. Programmatūra ir izstrādāta programmēšanas valodā C#, izmantojot ASP.NET Web Forms un ASP.NET MVC ietvarus un Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 izstrādes vidi.
Population structure, life cycle, and trophic niche of the glacial relict amphipod, Gammaracanthus lacustris, in a large boreal lake

Ecology of the glacial relict macrocrustacean Gammaracanthus lacustris, a rare inhabitant of deep Fennoscandian lakes, is poorly understood. We studied the life cycle and trophic position of this cold‐stenothermic amphipod in Lake Paasivesi, eastern Finland. The study is based on intensive sampling and analyses of fatty acid composition as well as stable carbon (δ13C) and nitrogen (δ15N) isotope ratios. Both day and night, the G. lacustris population occurred at depths below 25 m at temperatures 40 mm and live up to 4 years. This paper aims to critically analyse the Estonian People’s Assembly (EPA), a crowdsourcing initiative carried out from 2013 to 2014. During the project, citizens could participate in decision-making and make proposals for laws and policies on a dedicated web-platform. Additionally, some people were invited for a traditional off-line debate. In that way, the project combined virtual communication tools with traditional discussion to apply the principles of collaborative e-democracy, in which governmental stakeholders and non-governmental stakeholders (such as local communities) join in a deliberative debate. The paradigms of car and air travel are contested in terms of climate change; I continue the contestation from the perspective of political liberty. Three paradigms of personal travel – by car, by flight and by train – are confronted with two concepts of liberty: the freedom from interference versus the freedom from dependence.
