PURPOSE/INTRODUCTION: To assess the usefulness of weight-bearing examination of the ankle performed with a dedicated MRI scanner in the evaluation of patients with clinical evidence of lateral ankle instability. Biometric parameters of the Asteroid echinoderm Marthasterias glacialis (L.) were measured at Ustica Island MPA (SW Tyrrhenian Sea). Wet weight was correlated with tip-to-tip (arm-span) diameter, central disk, arm length, arm width and arm height. Results show high positive correlation between weight and arm height, suggesting a new useful method to estimate starfish size also for in situ measurements.

Maģistra darba mērķis ir noteikt kādas ir saistības un atšķirības ēšanas traucējumu pazīmēm attieksmē pret lieko svaru un ķermeņa tēla uztveri gaļas ēdājiem un veģetāriešiem. Pētījumā piedalījās 205 respondenti vecumā no 18-76 gadiem. Respondenti sastāv no divām izlasēm. Pirmājā ietilpst cilvēki, kuri ir gaļas ēdāji, bet otrā, cilvēki, kuri ir veģetārieši. Pētījuma izlases veidoja 127 gaļas ēdāji un 78 veģetārieši. 85 no dalībniekiem ir vīrieši un 120 ir sievietes. Pētījumā ir iekļautas trīs aptaujas.
