This thesis is divided in two parts. The first part suggests a theory of humour, it starts studying that concept by explaining its enunciative, logical or syntactical structures in order to draw a clear vision of it, before offering a first attempt to define it. Then it establishes necessary distinctions between the various categories of the risible to refine the delineation of the contours of humour. At a time when print was being challenged by new media that dematerialized information flows, the illustrated book London Impressions reflected an ideal of connectivity. A folio published by Constable in 1898, it gathered essays by Alice Meynell and photogravures and etchings by the English artist William Hyde. This article explores the editorial strategy that provided a record of fin-de-siècle urban modernity and aimed to guarantee the sustainability of the book as medium of inscription and transmission in a changing market. Assessing the effect of information on the reservation price for Champagne: what are consumers actually paying for?

AbstractTwo series of Vickrey auctions have been performed to assess the effect of packaging information (bottle and label) on the reservation prices of ordinary consumers for five brut non-vintage Champagnes. As in other studies on wine tasting, packaging information is found to explain much more of the variation in willingness to pay than sensory information. Participants are unable, or unwilling, to put different values on the Champagnes after blind tasting, but significant differences in reservation prices appear when labels are disclosed. Przeprowadzono badania w celu sprawdzenia, w jaki sposób modele psychologiczne są w stanie wyjaśnić zjawisko agresji mężczyzn, którzy zażywają narkotyków, sterydów lub nie stosują takich substancji. Próbka mężczyzn (N = 131) została wybrana celowo pod względem uzależnienia od substancji, stosowania sterydów i bycia wolnego od substancji. Do pomiaru pięciu czynników osobowości wykorzystano dziesięciopunktowy spis osobowości (TIPI). Do pomiaru orientacji czasowej wykorzystano Kwestionariusz Percepcji Czasu Zimbardo (ZTPI), a do pomiaru siły woli wykorzystano Kwestionariusz Kontroli Start-Stop.
