Information on subcortical ischaemic changes (SIC) in young hypertensive patients is scarce. We evaluated the frequency of SIC at magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), the possible effect on cognition of these patients, and the role of plasma markers known as indicators of endothelial and haemostatic activation. To elucidate the clinical significance of this biological activity we conducted a retrospective study on cancers among Italian patients with von Willebrand disease (VWD) on behalf of the Italian Association of Haemophilia Centres (AICE). In this article, a comparative analysis of the data stemming from the studies conducted in the field of immune tolerance treatment (ITT) of hemophilia A was attempted. A potential-based Boundary Element Method is presented for the aerodynamic and acoustic design of propel- lers at on- and off-design point conditions. Using an adaptive method, a family of airfoil sections is selected to produce the required performance (thrust, torque and efficiency versus advance ratio) at different cruise flight levels. Changes in the value relevance of goodwill accounting following the adoption of IFRS 3

Abstract This study examines the value relevance effects of changes in goodwill accounting in a European setting. International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) 3 replaced accounting rules that emphasized goodwill amortization over short useful lives which kept goodwill balances low. Goodwill accounting under IFRS 3 largely relies on manager fair value estimates of acquired business units. Using Swedish data, we show that goodwill amortizations were not value-relevant prior to the adoption of IFRS 3.
