Proteomic profiling of German Dornfelder grape berries using data-independent acquisition

Grapevine is one of the most important fruit plants throughout the world. Sequencing of the grape genome in 2007 enabled in-depth analyses of the grape proteome. Whereas many studies addressed changes in proteomic composition of grapes during ripening, we focused on the proteome of mature grape berries from Dornfelder, a characteristic red wine grape for Germany. Current data-independent acquisition proteomics technology enables the analysis of proteomic compositions in a degree of accuracy that was unreachable only a few years ago. During fermentation oenological yeast cells are subjected to a number of different stress conditions and must respond rapidly to the continuously changing environment of this harsh ecological niche. Extracellular matrix (ECM) hydrogels obtained from decellularized tissues are promising biocompatible materials for tissue regeneration. Glaucoma, a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide, is often not diagnosed until many years after disease onset. Early and objective diagnostic measures are yet missing. SummaryThe effect of planting density on yield, fruit quality and above-ground dry-matter partitioning into vegetative and reproductive organs of six year old peach trees was investigated in Sicily on the very early-ripening cv Flordaprince in greenhouse. Increasing the number of trees per hectare from 1500 to 5000 significantly reduced total above-ground dry matter, trunk cross-sectional area and total leaf area. Platinum and rhodium in wine samples by using voltammetric techniques

For the first time, the concentrations of Pt and Rh in 42 different alcoholic beverages (white and red wines, vodka and brandy) produced in Italy, Malta and Gozo were investigated. Only the voltammetric techniques, in particular, differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV/a) and Adsorptive Stripping Voltammetry (AdSV) were used for the determination of Pt and Rh respectively. Accuracy was tested with standard addition method and recoveries ranged from 90% to 98%. In analyzed wine samples, Pt and Rh concentrations are in the ranges from 3 to 470 μg L− 1and from 0.0006 to 0.36 μg L− 1respectively.
