NH4HCO3–water solutions regeneration in RED closed loop applications

2017

Reverse Electrodialysis (RED) in closed loop arrangement (Reverse Electrodialysis Heat Engine - REDHE) is a promising technology to convert low-grade waste heat into electricity. RED is a membrane process exploiting the salinity gradient between a concentrated and a diluted solution to generate electrical current. Due to the transfer phenomena occurring in the RED unit, the two exiting solutions are partially mixed. Thermal regeneration processes can be used to restore the initial conditions of the two solutions, thus closing the loop. In this regard, ammonium hydrogen carbonate (NH4HCO3) salt solutions are suitable for such applications, being able to decompose at temperatures above 40-45 …

Saint-Dizier « la Tuilerie » (Haute-Marne) : trois sépultures d’élite du VIe siècle

2019

In 2002, excavations carried out by Marie-Cécile Truc (Inrap) at Saint-Dizier led to the discovery of four graves of exceptional wealth, containing a young woman, two men and a horse, dated to c. 525-550 AD. Dressed and adorned with numerous jewels, the young female was laid in a coffin upon which were placed vessels in glass, copper alloy goblet and ceramic. Each male had been buried in an excavated funerary chamber, built within an oak frame. They were laid in their coffins along with their personal clothing, including a ceremonial sword with two rings added to the pommel. The larger weapons (throwing axes, shields, lances and angons) as well as various utensils were placed either on the …

Skrzydlate słowa w demotywatorach

2020

The observation of winged words on the Internet shows that the most memorable ones are those that come from the school reading canon and that they become an element of verbal-visual games in demotivators. At the same time, the Internet has become a catalyst, a place where very quickly the emergence of new units takes place. It is infl uenced by its unlimited range and technical capabilities that allow copying, duplication and modifi cation of new units. Adding a graphical element to them in the demotivators strengthens their impact on the recipient, allows them to evoke various emotions and, as a result, easier to remember and willing to share them with subsequent Internet users.

Rosyjskie skrzydlate słowa w polskim dyskursie internetowym

2022

This article is devoted to the functioning of Russian winged words in the Polish Internet discourse. The analysis of the material collected from a variety of websites, blogs, comments, and demotivators showed that Russian winged words are present in the statements of Internet users. In newspaper articles and news programmes, the author or the source of the winged word appears more often, while the authors of blogs and demotivators use Russian units which have lost the link with the source and are easily modifiable. Most often, in the statements of young people there are those that do not require linguistic and cultural competences; they constitute unnamed, permanent expressions for the broa…

Zur Semantik und Wortbildung der Personenbezeichnungen im oberschlesischen Deutsch

2020

Similar to various other diatopic varieties of German language, one finds numerous person names in Upper Silesian German, in which all possible qualities and modes of existence of the human being are focused and expressed. In the article attention is drawn once to the semantic classes oc-curring here, as well as to the types of nomination activated in the formation of the names, and then to the word formation types and the languages from which the morphemes forming the names were derived.

"U wot m8te?" : word formations and use of emoticons in a synchronous chatroom

2017

Maailma muuttuu, ja niin muuttuu kielikin. Matkapuhelinten ja varsinkin internetin myötä kirjoitettu kieli on jo kohta noin pari vuosikymmentä ollut muutosvaiheessa – jotkut saattavat jopa miettiä, onko kirjoittaminen enää lainkaan tarpeellista ihmisten välisessä viestinnässä. Tässä kandidaatintutkielmassa keskitytään tarkastelemaan sanojen muodostumista sekä hymiöiden käyttöä synkronoidussa eli reaaliaikaisessa online - keskusteluhuoneessa DeviantART-sivustolla. Kirjoitetun kielen muutoksia tutkitaan englannin kielen kautta, mutta osa muutoksista (kuten lyhenteiden yleistyvä käyttö) näkyy jo myös muissakin internetissä käytetyissä kielissä. Esimerkiksi suomella on oma ”internet- slanginsa”…

Pastāvīgo vārdu biežums laikrakstu tiešsaistes publikācijas un to diskusiju ziņās

2016

Šis darbs iepazīstina ar laikraksta The Guardian tiešsiastes publikāciju analīzi.
