The Fairness Principle, Reward, and Altruistic Behavior

The goal of this study was to investigate the relationship between reward and altruism. It was hypothesized that the altruistic behavior of someone who has been asked for help will occur only after the person asking for help has been evaluated. As a result, if the situation of a person asking for help is perceived as less fortunate, help will be given even if no proportional award is received in return, according to a principle based on need that makes people feel they should help the needy. Results show that when the participants received an unfair award, they tended to offer much bigger donations only in the condition in which the other was perceived as less fortunate.
Työelämäyhteistyö ammattikorkeakouluopettajan osaamishaasteena

Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin ammattikorkeakouluopettajien työelämäyhteistyön osaamishaasteita. Tutkimusaineisto kerättiin yksilö- ja ryhmähaastatteluilla, joihin osallistui 16 eri alojen ammattikorkeakouluopettajaa. Aineisto analysoitiin temaattisella analyysillä. Työelämäyhteistyön osaamishaasteina tulivat esille muutos koulutuksen ja työelämän suhteissa, verkostomainen opettajuus, monipuolisten taitojen hallinta ja pedagogiikan uudistaminen. Ammattikorkeakouluopettajien työelämäyhteistyö edellyttää uusien taitojen omaksumisen lisäksi yhteisöllisyyden kehittämistä niin työelämän kuin opiskelijoidenkin kanssa.

Tässä raportissa perehdytään suomalaisten journalistisen työn tekijöiden ammattiarvoihin, -etiikkaan, työoloihin ja käsityksiin journalismista. Työ perustuu kansainväliseen Worlds of Journalism Study (WJS) -projektiin, jossa selvitetään säännöllisesti journalismin tilaa eri puolilla maailmaa (WJS 2022a). Ensimmäinen kysely tehtiin vuosina 2007–2011, jolloin mukana oli 21 maata ja 2 100 journalistia. Suomi liittyi projektiin vuonna 2013 sen toisessa aallossa. Siihen osallistui vuosina 2012–2016 kaikkiaan 67 maata ja yli 27 500 journalistia. Tässä raportissa keskitytään projektin kolmanteen aaltoon, joka on käynnissä vuosina 2021–2023. Wine typicity is revealed at various spatial scales, according to the variability of terroir components, which individual contribution change depending on the site. In this study, the impact of climate at global scale on the sensory profile of wine is examined.Thirty one Pinot noir wines produced in 16 winegrowing regions in Europe (Germany, France and Switzerland), North America (USA), South America (Chile) and Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) were selected. The purpose of this investigation was to compare and determine the relevance of the morphological characteristics and variability of running speed parameters (stride length and stride frequency) between Usain Bolt’s three best 100 m performances. Based on this, an attempt was made to define which factors determine the performance of Usain Bolt's sprint and, therefore, distinguish him from other sprinters. Sport provides many youth participants with a central life project, and yet very few eventually fulfill their athletic dreams, which may lead them to disengage from sport entirely. Many studies have explored the processes of athletic retirement, but little is known about how youth athletes actually reconstruct their relationship with sport and embodiment postretirement.
