The death penalty in Valencia (1450-1500), numbers, urban spaces and funeral ritualities from the Brotherhood of Innocents and Helpless

2021

Through a combination of documentary s…

Religious Organizations and Local Self-government Units as Entities Cooperating in The Enforcement of Criminal Judgements

2019

Związki wyznaniowe oraz jednostki samorządu terytorialnego to podmioty współdziałające w wykonywaniu kar, środków karnych, kompensacyjnych, zabezpieczających, zapobiegawczych oraz przepadku. Można je również traktować w kategoriach organów społecznej kontroli nad wykonywaniem tych orzeczeń. Współdziałanie takich podmiotów uzyskało rangę dyrektywy ustawowej i służyć ma readaptacji społecznej skazanych i zapobieganiu przestępczości. W przypadku przedstawicieli związków wyznaniowych współdziałanie posiada także charakter wychowawczy i poprawczy. How to Avoid Compensating CEO for Luck: The Case of Macroeconomic Fluctuations

2010

Incentive effects of performance-based compensation schemes for management may be weakened or biased by macroeconomic influences on remuneration. These influences can be seen as reflecting luck from the CEO’s perspective. In this chapter we present a model for how to avoid compensating CEO for luck by filtering out the macroeconomic influences. In the empirical section we analyze the impact of macroeconomic, industry and firm-specific factors on the compensations (salary, bonus, options, and pensions) of CEOs in 127 Swedish corporations during the period 2001-2007. We find macroeconomic influences on Swedish CEOs’ compensation to be substantial. Distinguishing between favorable and unfavora…

FUNCIONES EJECUTIVAS Y MOTIVACIÓN DE NIÑOS CON TRASTORNO DE ESPECTRO AUTISTA (TEA) Y TRASTORNO POR DÉFICIT DE ATENCIÓN CON HIPERACTIVIDAD (TDAH)

2016

Impulsivity and physical activity: A T-Pattern detection of motor behavior profiles.

2020

The relation between impulsivity and physical activity has been scantly investigated. Actually, during physical activity, several goals are achieved on the basis of a certain dose of impulsiveness. This study detects motor and interactive behavior profiles from athletes with traits of impulsiveness, moderate impulsiveness and non-impulsiveness, performing open motor tasks concerning material, space and interaction behaviors. A specific test was administered to assess the impulsivity profiles of athletes; then the Observational System of Motor Skills, Space, Time and Interaction (OSMOSTI), was used to observe and detect movement sequences patterns throughout T-Pattern detection and analysis …

FlexibleSUSY - a meta spectrum generator for supersymmetric models

2016

FlexibleSUSY is a software package that takes as input descriptions of (non-)minimal supersymmetric models written in Wolfram/Mathematica and generates a set of spectrum generator libraries and executables, with the aid of SARAH. The design goals are precision, reliability, modularity, speed, and readability of the code. The boundary conditions are independent C++ objects that are plugged into the boundary value problem solver together with the model objects. This clean separation makes it easy to adapt the generated code for individual projects. The current status of the interface and implementation is sketched.

A theory for long-memory in supply and demand

2004

Recent empirical studies have demonstrated long-memory in the signs of orders to buy or sell in financial markets [2, 19]. We show how this can be caused by delays in market clearing. Under the common practice of order splitting, large orders are broken up into pieces and executed incrementally. If the size of such large orders is power law distributed, this gives rise to power law decaying autocorrelations in the signs of executed orders. More specifically, we show that if the cumulative distribution of large orders of volume v is proportional to v to the power -alpha and the size of executed orders is constant, the autocorrelation of order signs as a function of the lag tau is asymptotica…

EUROPEANIZATION OF UKRAINE’S EXECUTIVE POWER (Lessons of the Central and Eastern Europe’s EU Member States)

2019

The article addresses main OECD SIGMA recommendations regarding national European Union (EU) policy co-ordination in Ukraine and provides relevant lessons from Latvia and other EU Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Member States in addressing similar challenges from the EU pre-accession and post-accession experience. Efficiency of a national policy co-ordination is one of the core determinants to succeed europeanization of a national core executive power and further integration with the EU. The OECD SIGMA Baseline Measurement Assessment Report on Principles of Public Administration in Ukraine published in June 2018 reveals important concerns in steering and co-ordination of some reform initia…

Symbolic Worst Case Execution Times

2011

In immediate or hard real-time systems the correctness of an operation depends not only upon its logical correctness, but also on the time in which it is computed. In such systems, it is imperative that operations are performed within a given deadline because missing this deadline constitutes the failure of the complete system. Such systems include medical systems, flight control systems and other systems whose failure in responding punctually results in a high economical loss or even in the loss of human lives. These systems are usually analyzed in a sequence of steps in which first, a socalled control flow graph (CFG) is constructed that represents possible program flows. Furthermore, bou…
