Abstract Background matching, a common form of camouflage, is a widespread anti-predator adaptation that hinders detection or recognition by increasing the resemblance of prey to its environment. However, the natural environment is complex and both spatially and temporally variable, which constrains effective background matching as an anti-predator strategy. Etnografinen, pitkittäisasetelmaan perustuva tutkimusaineisto muodostuu yhden lapsen varhaiskasvatuspolun ensimmäisistä päivistä aina esiopetuksen alkuun. This paper offers a multimodal approach to the study of social presence in students’ asynchronous online discourse in the context of virtual exchange. Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää, mitä GRI G3 Mining and Metals - yhteiskuntavastuumittaristoon liittyvää tietoa kohdeyrityksessä jo kerätään ja kuka sitä kerää. Kohdeyrityksenä toimi suuri kierrätysalan yritys. Metodologinen lähestymistapa on laadullinen, case-metodia käyttävä konstruktiivinen tutkimus, joka rajattiin koskemaan kohdeyrityksen Suomen ja Ruotsin maaorganisaatioita. Tutkimusta varten kohdeyrityksestä valittiin yhdeksän avaintiedonantajaa, joiden kanssa järjestettiin kahdeksan eri neuvottelutilaisuutta.
