Abstract Background Duodenal adenomas are extremely common in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis. However, it is uncertain whether patients with duodenal adenomas without familial adenomatous polyposis are at greater risk for colorectal neoplasia and, therefore, should routinely undergo surveillance colonoscopy.
