Turun yliopiston Kieli- ja käännöstieteiden laitoksen uudessa tutkimushankkeessa Eettisesti kestävä kielten opetus (EKKO) (2021–2024) tutkitaan, miten suomea ja muita Suomessa opiskeltavia kieliä voidaan opettaa eettisesti ja kestävästi. Long-Term Data Reveal the Associations of the Egg Quality With Abiotic Factors and Female Traits in the Baltic Herring Under Variable Environmental Conditions
In fish, the lipid resources of the female form a link between the environment and progeny, contributing to the contents of the egg yolk. Variation of the environmental conditions is therefore expected to affect the egg quality via maternal pathways, reflecting the female’s response to the environmental factors before spawning. We investigated the content of lipids and thyroid hormones in the ovary and eggs of the Baltic herring during 1988–2019, when salinity of the Baltic Sea first declined and then stabilized to a lower level, and winters varied between severe and mild. Kestävän kehityksen periaatteet kielenoppimisen arvioinnissa
Sustainable development is included in curricula in many countries – from primary to tertiary education, as well as in teacher training. Its principles also encompass language teaching, e.g., through enhancing equality of languages, multilingualism and multiculturalism. Several ethical issues are linked to sustainable development goals, which can be considered part of language teaching and assessment. In both the school environment and teacher education, sustainable development is usually linked to the natural and social sciences and is rarely incorporated into language education or encouraged as part of language teacher education. Kirjoittamisprosessin tallentaminen ja visualisointi kielenoppimisen apuna
Tekstin kirjoittaminen saattaa toisinaan tuntua työläältä, mutta se voi olla myös helppoa ja sujuvaa. Tutkimme KISUVI-hankkeessa (Monikielisten kirjoittajien kirjoitusprosessit: sanastokeskittymien ja sujuvuuden visualisointi graafiteorian avulla) kirjoittamisen sujuvuutta ensi- ja vieraalla kielellä. Tarkastelemme kirjoittamista näppäilyntallennuksen ja kirjoittamisen kielentämisen eli omasta kirjoittamisesta kertomisen avulla. Tavoitteemme on saada uutta tietoa kirjoitusprosesseista ja kirjoittajaprofiileista analysoimalla niitä visualisointien ja näppäilyntallennuksen avulla.
