La economía intangible en España: Evolución y distribución por territorios y sectores (1995-2014)

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo estimar la inversión en activos intangibles más allá del PIB —es decir, aquellos que todavía no han sido incluidos por los sistemas de cuentas nacionales— para las comunidades autónomas españolas. De esta forma, España se convierte en el primer país de la Unión Europea para el que existe esta información a nivel regional. The Role of Capital Accumulation in the Evolution of Total Factor Productivity in Spain

GDP growth in Spain was strong for much of the last half century, whereas the country’s productivity performance during these years has been mediocre. The reasons for this situation have frequently been analysed with the focus on labour productivity. But, as this article highlights, the evolution of capital productivity should also be taken into account when looking for explanations for poor productivity performance. Economic valuation of knowledge-based capital: an International comparison

Abstract This chapter uses an alternative approach to measuring the knowledge intensity of economies to those commonly uses that are based on the aggregation of industries according to selected indicators such as R&D expenditure or labor force skills. We follow an economic approach rooted in growth accounting methodology, determining the contribution of each individual factor (capital and labor) according to the prices of the services it provides.
