Nutraceuticals constitute a group of functional foods that provide added health benefits for various disorders including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colorectal cancer (CCR). The main groups of nutraceuticals include probiotics, prebiotics omega 3 and antioxidants. Studies on nutraceutical showed that this type of food possessed similar properties to drugs but with the benefit of not having side effects. The inflammaotory bowel disease (IBD) are a group of inflammatory pathologies of the digestive line with chronicity and recurrent characteristic. The IBDs mostly recognized are the ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease; they are more frequent in the industrialized countries and among the caucasian populations that among those africans or oriental. The secondary artropaties to IBD recognize a multifactorial genesis in subjects predisposed as a result genetically or environmental factors; a fundamental role of the intestinal dysbiosis they are hypothesized.

PRENATAL DEVELOPMENT OF TEMPORO-MANDIBULAR JOINTS: STATE OF ART

The aim of this work is to analyze the state of the art of temporo-mandibular joint (MJ) to understand the varoius stage of the development of the same during embryogenesis. Various theories have been analyzed, such as the formation of apoptotic or the important role of growth factors, or the Valencia et studies in which are analyzed to numerous articular diseases in various stage of development. By the aforementioned studies show that many factors, of a different nature, are to be involved in the prenatal developlment of this important joint.

IMMUNOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF CROHN'S DISEASE: A REGULATORY FUNCTION OF TIM-3/GALECTIN-9 IN LYTH1.

Crohn's disease (CD) is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and its etiology is multifactorial and involves a combination of genetic environmental factors. The interaction of these factors causes an imbalance of the microbiota, leading to the activation of several immunological and inflammatory mechanism. From an immunological point of view, there seems to be an involvement of the TIM-3/GALECTIN-9 pathway and of the autoregulation of lyTh1. These studies show that in patients with CD the autoregulation of lyth1 is lost due to a reduced concentration of galectin-9 and a reduced TIM-3 expression in LyTh1. A DISSECTION'S GUIDE TO HUMAN ABDOMINAL CAVITY

The purpose of this article is to show the abdominal cavity's dissection method. In the summer of 2018 a group of students from the University of Palermo, who had already taken the anatomy exam and had good knowledege of English, went for a period of two weeks to do a dissection course at the University of malta. The students dissected skin, subcutaneously, muscle layers, parietal peritoneum and abdominal organs. this works proves to be a small dissection guide for young medical students who want to learn the main bases of dissection and important information for topographical anatomy.

This essay's main goal the present review is to highlight the connections between intestinal dysbiosis and the ensuing activation of the mucosal lymphatic system. One of the study's goals is to investigate the impact on mood caused by a serotonergic deficit driven by mucosal inflammation. A BRIEF DISSECTION'S GUIDE TO NORMAL MEDIASTINAL ANATOMY

The purpose of this article is to show the mediastinal dissection method used during the stage performed by a group of students from the Univrersity of palermo that, during the sumer of 2017, had the opportunity to spend a period of 4 weeks at the Department of Anatomy of The University of malta. The students were guided to practice dissection of some corpes to study various mediastinal organs. This experience permitted to the students to verify practically what they lernt in the books, and reperesented a unique opportunity for them to perform practice with cadavers, that is actually very difficult to do in italian universities.

A BRIEF GUIDE TO THE ANATOMICAL DISSECTION OF THE STOMACH

The purpose of this article is to write a short guide on the macroscopic anatomy of the stomach, describing its structures, its relationships within the abdominal cavity and the dissection methods used during the internship performed by a group of students from the University of Palermo, Palermo, Italy, at the University of Malta, Msida, Malta, during the summer of 2018. Indeed,, they had the opportunity to spend a period of two weeks at the department of Anatomy in the Maltese University for studying and practining on some corpses, with the aim of improving their anatomical knowledge.
