In this paper, a method to characterize the high-frequency (HF) behavior of six pack insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) power module (PM) is presented. The method is based on experimental measurements at the external pins of the device and it allows one to extract internal inductive and capacitive parasitic coupling without the knowledge of structural and physical parameters of the PM. An Improved Load Flow Method for MV Networks Based on LV Load Measurements and Estimations
A novel measurement approach for power-flow analysis in medium-voltage (MV) networks, based on load power measurements at low-voltage level in each secondary substation (SS) and only one voltage measurement at the MV level at primary substation busbars, was proposed by the authors in previous works. In this paper circuital models of a Power Drive System (PDS) and of grounding systems are proposed in order to analyse Electromagnetic Interferences (EMI) induced in a PDS when a lightning current flows in the grounding system. The models have been developed adopting the network approach with lumped parameters and have been implemented using the software MATLAB. This paper presents a statistical approach based on the k-means clustering technique to manage environmental sampled data to evaluate and to forecast of the energy deliverable by different renewable sources in a given site. In particular, wind speed and solar irradiance sampled data are studied in association to the energy capability of a wind generator and a photovoltaic (PV) plant, respectively. EMI Analysis in Electrical Drives under Lightning Surge Conditions
In this paper, a complete model of a power drive system including the earth electrodes is proposed to evaluate electromagnetic conducted interference due to lightning pulses. Circuit model of a power drive system is joined with a full-wave approach for the simulation of the time behavior of the grounding system. The proposed model enables to predict the electromagnetic conducted interference generated in the power drive system when lightning conditions involve the earth electrodes.

Measurements methodology for the reliability evaluation of intelligent power modules
The paper describes a measurement methodology for the reliability evaluation of new intelligent power electronics modules (IPMs). In particular, the evaluation of the IPMs immunity to radio frequency conducted disturbances has been performed, at different operating thermal conditions, designing a suitable measurement set up in a shielded room. Moreover, the thermal performances of the devices have been analyzed, setting up a proper experimental test bench. The measurements procedures are detailed described. © 2014 IEEE.
