The study of rural burgs founded during the totalitarian regimes in Spain and Italy, proposes a comparative study of urban realities characterised by peculiar elements, which show a design volition to decline the project on the territory on which it was intended to be realised, starting from an abstraction of the project up to the modifications dictated by social and logistical needs. In this paper, the case of the Spanish city Conquista del Guadiana from 1964, and the Italian Aprilia from 1936, will be deepened. Un approccio progettuale per la rigenerazione sostenibile

This paper describes the methodology of research and analy- sis that have been adopted in order to develop the targets of the project, along with the design proposal. A literature review about urban regeneration ad its best practices and a deep study of the various features and peculiarities of the area has been conducted. Such a study guided the definition of the criteria that must be ap- plied to develop the project. The proposal of urban regeneration aims to retrain the whole di- strict by retrofitting ENPAM’s buildings and industrial sheds by the railway as well as redesigning the public spaces and the green areas.
