The paper deals with the institutional problems faced by animal carcass classifying operators while implementing the SEUROP classification system in Romania. The research was performed in March 2015 by means of in-depth interviews with different economical operators in the pig-carcass classification sector. Multivariate regression analysis applied to the calibration of equipment used in pig meat classification in Romania.

This paper highlights the statistical methodology used in a dissection experiment carried out in Romania to calibrate and standardize two classification devices, OptiGrade PRO (OGP) and Fat-o-Meat'er (FOM). One hundred forty-five carcasses were measured using the two probes and dissected according to the European reference method. To derive prediction formulas for each device, multiple linear regression analysis was performed on the relationship between the reference lean meat percentage and the back fat and muscle thicknesses, using the ordinary least squares technique. Abstract Working students face many challenges: they must balance work, school, extracurricular activities, and personal life. Several studies reflected the fact that this balancing act goes hand-in-hand with the level of stress. The scope of the study was to find out whether working students in the Faculty of Engineering Sibiu experience different levels of stress compared with the non-working students. Abstract Faculty of Engineering in Sibiu is facing an increasing demand from industrial companies to employ students not only by the time of graduation but even during university studies. The scope of the study was to provide an insight on working students’ profile and the problems they are confronting with.
