Relationship between anthropometric parameters, physiological responses, routes and competition results in formula windsurfing
Formula windsurfing is faster than the Olympic version, due to anumber of unique differences. This study was designed to identify the importance of anthropometric and cardiac factors on the final result of the European Formula Windsurf Championships (2007). We selected 45 competitors (30 amateurs and 15 professionals) of 30±9.77 years of age, a height of 182.6±0.06 cm, a weight of 81.67±7.35 kg and a BMIof 24.7±2.1 kg. They were divided into three groups (PG: 15; TG: 45and GPSG: 12). We followed the recommendations of Carter and Marfell-Jones for the anthropometric measurements. El objetivo de este estudio fue comparar los indicadores tácticos utilizados en la creación de ocasiones de gol entre Real Madrid C.F. (RMCF) y F.C. Barcelona (FCB). Todas las posesiones finalizadas en ocasión de gol (n=945) durante 64 partidos (32 por equipo) de la Liga BBVA 2011-2012 fueron analizadas a través de observación sistemática. Association between playing tactics and creating scoring opportunities in counterattacks from United States Major League Soccer games
The aim of this study was to examine the effects of playing tactics on creating scoring opportunities in counterattacks from the United States Major League Soccer (MLS) 2014 season. The sample included 452 counterattack possessions, corresponding to 30 randomly selected matches. Multidimensional data from 14 categorical variables were analysed by means of a descriptive analysis and binary logistic regression. The main aims of this study were: 1) to compare 1-minute RMSSD measurements using different stabilization times between them and also with the criterion; and 2) to determine the agreement between every 1-minute RMSSD measurement with the criterion in professional soccer players. Seven hundred eighteen HRV measurements from professional soccer players were taken. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of playing tactics on the creation of scoring opportunities in random matches from US Major League Soccer 2014, taking into account both contextual and defensive variables. The sample included 3253 team possessions corresponding to 30 randomly selected matches. Multidimensional qualitative data from 10 categorical variables was analysed by means of descriptive analysis and multiple logistic regression analysis. Effects of mat characteristics on plantar pressure patterns and perceived mat properties during landing in gymnastics.
Shock absorption and stability during landings is provided by both, gymnast ability and mat properties. The aims of this study were to determine the influence of different mat constructions on their energy absorption and stability capabilities, and to analyse how these properties affect gymnast's plantar pressures as well as subjective mat perception during landing.
