Introduction. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a slowly progressive disorder characterized by a gradual loss of articular cartilage. The OA classification is mainly based on clinical and radiographic evaluations, using the Knee Society Score (AKSS) and the Kellgren and Lawrence (KL) scale.
