Abstract Background: Complications from chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection are a major cause of morbidity and mortality among individuals with inherited blood disorders (IBLD). Inability to tolerate ribavirin and frequent comorbidities have limited HCV treatment options in these patients.
