Ant Colony Optimization for an Adaptive Transportation System : A New Termination Condition Definition Using an Environment Based Approach
The delivery of the packages following the online purchase of goods trough web giants platforms is growing faster each years. To meet the demand of the growing quantity ofpackages and their delivery, the algorithm used to resolve the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) has to be efficient and adaptive. The algorithms used to solve the VRP algorithm still provide better turn, but do not deal with situation adaptation at delivery point. Seeking to fit into this adaptive feature, the commitment of this paper is to lay solid groundwork for the development of an adaptive transportation system. Exploring various strategies taking care of the possibilities of delivery at delivery point, our objective is t…
La place du véhicule autonome pour une mobilité propre
As part of the principal components related to the digital revolution, the autonomous vehicle is standard-bearer designed to drastically change our habits in terms of mobility. Besides the expected important progresses in terms of security, the autonomous vehicle should provide an impact on the environmental level as well. This article gives an overview of current and long-term progresses expected around the autonomous vehicle concept.

A mixed reality simulator for an autonomous delivery system using platooning
Developments in the field of autonomous vehicles have encouraged research to innovate technology to solve everyday problems. E-commerce has been on the rise and, freighttransportation is considered an environmental nuisance, especially in the city centers. Electric vehicles have been proposed to reduce the environmental impact of transit vehicles. A package delivery system using a platoon of autonomous electric delivery vehicles and established public transport networks in cities can be employed to solve these problems. But autonomous vehicle testing is a point of concern for authorities and the public alike. This paper acknowledges this problem of validating the algorithms used to create a…
An environment based approach for the ant colony convergence
Abstract Ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithms are a bio inspired solutions which have been very successful in combinatorial problem solving, also known as NP-hard problems, including transportation system optimization. As opposed to exact methods, which could give the best results of a tested problem, this meta-heuristics is based on the stochastic logic but not on theoretical mathematics demonstration (or only on certain well defined applications). According to this, the weak point of this meta-heuristics is his convergence, its termination condition. We can finds many different termination criteria in the scientific literature, yet most of them are costly in resources and unsuitable f…
Human Systems Design: Towards an Integrative Conceptual Framework
International audience; Conceiving artefacts and tools is one of the major key characteristics of the human species. Since the beginning of automation and even more since the spreading of computer science, this activity has become more and more challenging especially through the analysis of the different interaction modes between the artifacts and the human. Nowadays, developing an artifact that must interact with a human is requiring an integrative point of view which must include biological, physical and cybernetical concerns. The current norms aimed at characterizing the quality and the relevance of human machine interface are generally limited to standard interfaces and/or to specific d…
