The KeV Majoron as a dark matter particle

We consider a very weakly interacting KeV majoron as dark matter particle (DMP), which provides both the critical density $\rho_{cr} = 1.88 \times 10^{-29} h^{2}$ $g/cm^{3}$ and the galactic scale $M_{gal}$ $\sim m^{3}_{Pl}/m^{2}_{J} \sim 10^{12} M_{\odot} (m_{J}/1 KeV)^{-2}$ for galaxy formation. The majoron couples to leptons only through some new "directly interacting particles", called DIPS, and this provides the required smallness of the coupling constants. If the masses of these DIPS are greater than the scale $V_s$ characterizing the spontaneous violation of the global lepton symmetry they are absent at the corresponding phase transition ($T \sim V_s$) and the majorons are produced d…

Monte Carlo simulation for jet fragmentation in SUSY QCD

We present results from a new Monte Carlo simulation for jet fragmentation in QCD and SUSY QCD for large primary energies $\sqrt s$ up to $10^{16}$ GeV. In the case of SUSY QCD the simulation takes into account not only gluons and quarks as cascading particles, but also their supersymmetric partners. A new model-independent hadronization scheme is developed, in which the hadronization functions are found from LEP data. An interesting feature of SUSY QCD is the prediction of a sizeable flux of the lightest supersymmetric particles (LSPs), if R-parity is conserved. About 10% of the jet energy is transferred to LSPs which, owing to their harder spectra, constitute an important part of the spec…

Status of the Gribov-Pontecorvo solution to the solar neutrino problem

We discuss the status of the Gribov-Pontecorvo (GP) solution to the solar neutrino problem. This solution naturally appears in bimaximal neutrino mixing and reduces the solar and atmospheric neutrino problems to vacuum oscillations of three active neutrinos. The GP solution predicts an energy-independent suppression of the solar neutrino flux. It is disfavoured by the rate of the Homestake detector, but its statistical significance greatly improves, when the chlorine rate and the boron neutrino flux are slightly rescaled, and when the Super-Kamiokande neutrino spectrum is included in the analysis. Our results show that rescaling of the chlorine signal by only 10% is sufficient for the GP so…
