Background Endometriosis is a chronic pain condition in premenopausal women. Pain is mainly characterized by pain intensity and may induce disability in all areas of daily life. Nevertheless, pain is influenced by emotional and social factors as well. Abstract Background In recent years, surgeons have utilized Harmonic instruments to perform breast cancer resection. Retrospective and prospective studies have demonstrated that the use of this surgical device for mastectomy and axillary dissection can reduce perioperative blood loss, seroma formation, and duration and total amount of drainage. Der wichtigste Risikofaktor fur Brustkrebs ist bei Frauen und Mannern das Alter. Brustkrebs beim Mann ist selten; Untersuchungen zur Fruherkennung werden deshalb nicht empfohlen; diese sind nur bei Veranderungen oder Beschwerden erforderlich (S3-Leitlinie Diagnostik 2018). Fur Frauen liegt das Lebenszeitrisiko fur Brustkrebs bei 12,8 %, d. h. dass jede achte Frau im Verlauf ihres Lebens an Brustkrebs erkrankt. Selten tritt Brustkrebs bei Frauen unter 30 Jahren auf. Abstract Study question The aim was to assess the prevalence of self-reported symptoms of depression and anxiety and the moderating factors influencing mental symptoms during the COVID–19 pandemic. Summary answer Endometriosis patients were at risk of developing mental disorders during the pandemic. Associated risk factors were: reduction of the social network and the employment status.
