Studies on wheel mounting options on shafts
The paper presents a general description of chains and chain transmissions, their advantages and disadvantages. A triple chain wheel is then projected into the CATIA V5 program. A static analysis of some wheel mounting variants on a camshaft with the Generative Structural Analysis module in the CATIA V5 program is then made. The orientation-fastening variants with a wedge, two feathers or three screws positioned equidistant at 120 degrees on a diameter are analysed. As a result of the finite element analysis, the conclusion is that the three-screw variant is the most appropriate. Material stresses and deformations are smaller, simpler processability, fewer types of components are present ov…
The Taguchi Method and Conditions for its Implementation in High Performance Athletic Training
Abstract The purpose of this research is to present the main features of the Taguchi method, a method used today mainly in the optimization of industrial processes and products. It allows identification of process parameters that may contribute to system optimization; in our case, it allows the selection of the most effective means of training aimed at optimizing processes. After having determined the relevant characteristics in athlete training, we developed a model based on the Taguchi method, adapting the characteristics of that training for implementation in high performance athletic training. We also checked the optimum conditions for the implementation of management techniques and for…
Ankle Foot Orthoses with Wire Insertion
The objective of the work is to present some researches regarding the virtual modelling of external medical devices with wire insertion. Ankle foot orthoses are used to correct and prevent different disfunctions of the human body and also in athlets recovery. The research is motivate by the problems appeared using this medical devices: durability issues, patient confort, manufacturing costs, lightweight, flexible access to shoes, inexpensive, readily available. These issues depends of the wey design, manufacturing technology, materials used, patient behavior, skills manufacturer. Wire insertion in polypropylene is a new approach of orthoses materials.
Aspects regarding the appreciation of regularity and punctuality in the public transport system from Sibiu, Romania
Regularity and punctuality are two very important measures for evaluating the quality of a public transport system. Several indicators can be used to estimate them, each with advantages and disadvantages. The paper comparatively describes a series of such indicators and presents a study conducted for two public transport lines in Sibiu, Romania. The study shows how, depending on the indicators used, the results show the influence of different factors.
Considerations on oversized transportation in the UE(Community)
The transportation problem is becoming increasingly complex at a national, European and global level. Achieving an efficient and safe transportation system with low environmental pollution, with a quick delivery is a requirement for any carrier in the 21 st century. When talking about oversized transport, the challenge is even greater. Making a low loader go through several European countries has proved to be more complicated than we expected, due to the lack of uniformity of laws in this field. This paper seeks to find these different regularities characteristics from one European country to another and to propose developing procedures leading to the design and implementation of cheaper an…
