Introduction: It is well-known that musculoskeletal conditions are related with pain and anxiety. Anxiety is a complex concept that involves a transient state caused by different factors, as well as a persistent mood. When it occurs at an individual with pre-existent musculoskeletal disorders, the medical recovery becomes more problematic. The deficiencies of the serotoninergic system in suicidal behaviour has been mentioned by many studies that indicate the reduction of 5-HT, 5-HIAA in CSF or 5-HTT polymorphism.
