The American cherry fruit fly is an invasive pest species in Europe, of serious concern in tart cherry productionaswellasforthepotentialtohybridizewiththeEuropeancherryfruitfly,Rhagoletiscerasi L. (Diptera: Tephritidae), which might induce new pest dynamics.
