Extracting Features from Social Media Networks Using Semantics
This paper focuses on the analysis of social media content generated by social networks (e.g. Twitter) in order to extract semantic features. By using text categorization to sort text feeds into categories of similar feeds, it has been proved to reduce the overhead that is required to retrieve these feeds and at the same time, it provides smaller pools in which further investigations can be made easier. The aim of this survey is to draw a user profile, by analysing his or her tweets. In this early stage of research, being a pre-processing phase, a dictionary based approach is considered. Moreover, the paper describes an algorithm used in analysing the text and its preliminary results. This …
Quality Improvement Based on Big Data Analysis
Big data analysis has become an important trend in computer science. Quality improvement is a constant in current industry trends. In this paper, we present an idea of quality improvement based on big data analysis with the aid of linked data and ontologies in order to implement it in the case of automotive parts production. We consider defective automotive products and try to find the best refurbishment solution for them considering their characteristics. Moreover, we propose to develop a recommender system that is able to give recommendations in order to prevent or to alleviate defects and to provide insights for possible causes that led to these defective parts. This study intends to hel…
A Solution for Medical Information Management
Abstract Nowadays, the amount of data that is being generated by medical devices has exponentially increased. The aim of this paper is to develop an integrated health data management tool, that aggregates data from various sources, which are in various formats. With the aid of artificial intelligence (AI), this data will be processed and will help healthcare professionals be aware of the improvements that could make the healthcare system be more preventive, predictive and personalized. This paper introduces an integrated medical information management system – that intends to manage medical activities in hospitals, clinics and laboratories and describes its development and future directions…
A Novel User Interface for Knowledge Base Browsing
Abstract Intuitive user interfaces have been of great concern for GUI developers. The current research, who deals with their designing, faces the term intuitive constantly. The main question is how can the Interface be intuitive? For the moment, the researchers try to provide a very intuitive generic user interface that can be used in a variety of applications. In this paper we provide a solution that can model any applied ontology into a honeycomb menu. The hexagonal shape of the honeycomb has attracted the attention of humans for centuries. As a relevant consequence, the final user can browse any knowledge base very easily with the aid of this interface. Another useful feature is that pro…
