Il presente articolo prende in esame il caso dell’interazione del fumetto Razzi Amari di S. Disegni e M. Caviglia con il notissimo film The Matrix di Larry e Andy Wachowski. After an examination of the motivations behind the writing of 'Origins of analitical philosophy,' the discussion moves on to themes which are central to Dummett's book such as: the priority thesis, the linguistic turn, the comparison between some important aspects of Frege's and Husserl's philosophies, the relationship between language and thought. The Prologue ends with an examination of the Dummettian concept of proto-thought, as a thought whose vehicle is not language, which seems to open the way for the use of the empirical sciences in the construction of a theory of thought. The main task of this paper is grounding the socio-anthropological “naturalization” of meaning operated by the later Wittgenstein in his remarks on rule-following in the Philosophical Investigations in considerations relating to models of low-level (biological) processes of imitation, training, and learning. If the operation suggested above is successful, two of its immediate consequences are that the social aspect of language can no longer be considered as a primitive notion, but needs to be placed upon, if not reduced to, a biological foundation; and that the study of thought, and, actually, of certain brain processes, becomes prior in the order of explanation to the study of language.
