Abstract Acquired hemophilia A (AHA) is a rare autoimmune disorder caused by neutralizing autoantibodies against coagulation factor VIII (FVIII:C). Immunosuppressive treatment may result in remission of disease over a period of days to months. Until remission, patients are at high risk of bleeding and complications from immunosuppression.
