Economic and Psychological Factors in Entrepreneurial Tendency
In the actual context of global economical crisis, the research question we raised was: Which of the personality traits, formerly associated with entrepreneurship, remain sufficiently stable/strong to overcome the negative economic conditions? That was the starting point to propose experimental evaluation of the possible effect of certain factors such as the economical crisis context/information regarding the economy status and the personal perception regarding the money source/value as regards to the tendency of investing in a small business of the youngsters with a high Internal Locus of Control level.
Assessment of Organizational Trust: Preliminary Data for Romanian Adaptation of the Organizational Trust Inventory Short Form
Abstract In the last years, trust became an important variable in regard to the well-being of organizations. In Romania, it was included in studies as a variable but there are few instruments that measure organizational trust. Therefore I identify a necessity for developing instruments useful in assessing and promoting any organizational adjustments. This paper presents the preliminary data obtained in the process of adaptation of OTI for the Romanian population. In doing so, we followed the guidelines of ITC. Fairness behavior in an economic crisis environment: a Romanian experimental perspective
Abstract In the context of the current prolonged economic crisis, we were wondering if the typical behaviour of Romanians in terms of their ‘fairness’ has suffered any modification. This study is trying to identify the effect of psychological pressure created by the economic crisis on fairness using the Ultimatum Game. We aim to look at the question if this hypothetical phenomenon applies mostly to people who use economic information in their day-to-day life (e.g., economic science students) or if it also affects different populations (e.g., psychology students). Another aim is to understand if any difference is influenced mainly by vocational personalities as Holland hs described.
Mental Account Barriers and Transaction Purpose: A Romanian Point of View
Abstract The present study encompasses the behavioral model of decision making. Using the models provided by scientific literature, the relationship between the basic structure of mental accounts, transaction utility and consumer decision, together with perceived comfortability. The procedure was carried out using undergraduate students of Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, with similar proportions of sexes and with resembling ages. Time and Gender Influence in Sexual Behavior of Romanian Adolescents
Abstract Our study tries to establish if the young generation starts sexual activity earlier, under mass media and social pressure, and if the gender is a relevant influence factor in this context. A questionnaire-based survey was developed in order to evaluate the potential relationship between psychological traits and behavior implying risk for people health. The questionnaire was distributed and we received valid responses from a number of 1,364 people (536 male and 828 female). Using SPSS one way ANOVA we found a significant difference determinate by gender regarding the age of sexual activity start.
