Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is a popular construction material combining good structural properties and environmental advantages. In the last decade, CLT has been playing a key role in increasing the use of timber construction due to upward production in CLT, especially in Europe. Consequently, codes and reliable standards are struggling to keep up with the rapid advancements of timber technologies. And therefore, CLT is a part of the currently ongoing revision of Eurocode 5.
