Pédagogie muséale et enseignement du volcanisme à la Réunion

Research into pedagogy in museums underlines the double tranposition of the theory principles of the science media and of psycho-pedagogy. At stake is understanding why and how pupils can build their scientific learning in a museum environment. This present contribution will propose a reflection on this issue based on the example of the teaching of volcanism on Réunion Island. The analysis of interviews conducted with teachers in first schools and secondary schools shows to what extent the pupils benefit from a significant pedagogical impact in the framework of their visits to the thematic museum in Piton de la Fournaise.
