Nuestra experiencia en la luxación recidivante de hombro
Los autores han revisado 53 pacientes afectados de Luxación Recidivante de Hombro. De ellos 46 eran varones y 7 mujeres. La edad media ha sido de 27,8 años. La mayoría de ellos de profesión sedentaria, pero aficionados al deporte. La epilepsia aparece como factor etiológico y como factor de agravamiento del pronóstico. Para la corrección se ha empleado el tratamiento quinúrgico con técnica de MAGNUSON en 46 casos, de OUDART más transplante del pectoral en 5 casos, de PUTTl-PLAT en un caso y de McKEVER en otro. Sólo en un caso la luxación ha sido posterior. Según los criterios de ROWE valorando los parámetros de dolor, movilidad y estabilidad, el resultado es francamente bueno al compararlo …
Luxacion anterior escapulo-humeral : reduccion con la maniobra de elevacion anterior
The technique and results obtained with the Cooper''s forward elevation maneuver for anterior dislocations of thc shoulder are reported. The maneuver is reccomended because of its simplicity and inocuity, and because it is unpainful and only one surgeon is required, with 64% of reductions obtained wirhour general anaesthesia, and 76% if anaesthesized patients are included.
Displasia congénita de tibia : 12 años de seguimiento
Congenital dysplasia of the tibia, previously named congenital pseudoarthrosis, is a very rare disorder, affecting 1 in 140,000 live-born children. Some of those cases are associated with neurofibromatosis or Von Recklinghausen disease and involvement of the fibula has been reported in 62% of cases . The diagnosis is usually made at birth. The natural history of the disease is extremely dark and once a fracture occurs, there is no tendency to heal spontaneously. We would like to report a 12 years followed-up case, treated with different methods with the aim of revise different treatment techniques depending on the age of the patient and the kind of fracture.
