Para la Organización Mundial de la Salud desarrollar y fortalecer habilidades para la vida en adolescentes es una medida de prevención efectiva para evitar y disminuir el consumo de drogas durante esta etapa. De esta manera, el objetivo de este trabajo fue identificar las diferencias que existen en las habilidades para la vida que reportan adolescentes mexicanos no consumidores y consumidores de alcohol y tabaco. Se diseñó y validó un instrumento (escala tipo likert) para evaluar las habilidades para la vida en una muestra de 5.651 estudiantes de un bachillerato público de la Ciudad de México. Spanish Adaptation of the Inventory Brief Child Abuse Potential and the Protective Factors Survey

Child maltreatment is a public health problem with different consequences depending on the form of abuse. Measuring risk and protective factors has been a fertile ground for research, without involving instruments with sufficient evidence of validity. The aim of the study was to gather evidence of validity and reliability of the Inventory Brief Child Abuse Potential (IBCAP) and Protective Factors Survey (PFS) in the Mexican population. The instruments were translated into Spanish.
