One of the most important phenomena of the Catalan narrative, dating from 1975, is the impact of the historical novel which was abandoned in previous years. In this article there is a characterization of fact in general terms and a detailed study of remarkable authors (in particular, Josep Lozano and Joan Perucho).

El present article investiga la importància de la ironia en la producció literària de Llorenç Villalonga. En primer lloc analitza l'ús de la ironia en l'escriptor francès Anatole France, mestre admirat de Villalonga, i de manera particular en el seu personatge Lucien Bergeret, la màxima creació de l'autor. Josep Bernat i Baldoví: the aesthetics of parody The present article is an attempt to show the importance of parody in the literary output of Josep Bernat i Baldoví. It is a well-known fact that humour and burlesque are the basis of the sainet ('short farce'). And the Valencian author in question is no exception. Francesc Trabal: l'aposta pel narrador revoltat
Summary: During the interwar and post-war period, Francesc Trabal was commited to renewing the realist-naturalist fiction pattern from a parodic-ironic perspective. Trabal's narrator undertakes to programmatically break up the rules of realist verisimilitude. The author does not cease to appear in the story, while the characters are able to leave it through the splendid use of a metalepsis. Llorenç Villalonga: la ironia o la civilització
In the present article the author studies the importance of irony in Llorenç Villalonga’s work using as a touchstone the novel «Flo la Vigne». In the first place he analyzes the conception of irony that the writer has: a tool for approaching the world and a virtue that characterizes the person or the civilization that possesses it. Secondly, he examines the practice of irony in the aforesaid novel: verbal irony (antiphrasis, paradox, «reductio ad absurdum»...) and the narratologic irony in a wide sense, including the paratextual and the intertextual one. By studying step by step, from beginnig to end, Father Fullana's grammatical studies, Prof. Simbor offers the reader the possibility of following the ideological evolution of this outstanding Valencian grammarian during three main periods: A unitarian one (1902-1915), a secessionist one (1915-1932), and a final one (1932-1948), when, after being the first to accept and to sign the unitarian ortography of Castelló de la Plana, he seems to have closed the process by accepting P. Fabra's proposals.

Les novel.les dels camps de concentració
This study analyzes the testimonial novels on concentration camps «K. L. Reich», by J. Amat-Piniella, «Crist de 200,000 braços», by A. Bartra and «El desgavell» by F. Planes, and compares them with some of the best known novels on concentration camps by European Authors (Primo Levi, Jorge Semproen, Robert Antelme and Imre Kertész). The main aim is to discover what the principal characteristics of such exceptional novels are. I have looked into the relation between autobiographical literature and novelistic fiction, the elaboration of a rather peculiar conception of time and space that makes up the true chronotope of the concentration camp, narrative options with regard to the narrator, etc.…
