Survival of Bothryosphaeriaceae species after hot water treatment

The use of Hot Water Treatment (HWT) in the grapevine propagation process has been shown to be A potenzially effective tool to control "Petri" and "Black foot" fungal pathogens. However, effects of HWT on Bothryosphaeriaceae after HWT in two different experiments. First, mycelial plugs contained in Eppendorf tubes with sterile distilled water were subjected to different combination of temperature (50-54°C) and exposure time (!5- 30- 45 minutes)in a hot water bath.In a second trial, the fungi were inoculated into 110 Richter rootstock canes, prviously subjected to HWT.
