Abstract Background: Leukemic relapse and graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) remain major obstacles after an allogeneic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Panobinostat is a potent inhibitor of class I, II and IV deacetylases and has shown antileukemic as well as immunomodulatory activity.
