In this article Casanova uses various archives –in particular that of Emili Beüt i Belenguer– to reconstruct the process of elaborating the general dictionary of Valencian. This dictionary was written during the Spanish civil war through the IEV, an organization in which Salvador played a decisive role. The author presents several dictionary entries and compares them with others from Pompeu Fabra's DGLC, and with other works.

The edition of two sermons in Valencian by Father Ramon Valcedo, given in Alcoi and Cocentaina to encourage the inhabitants to rise up against the Napoleonic invasion, highlights the use of the autochthonous language by the ecclesiastic hierarchy to get closer to the common people as late as the beginning of the XIX century in the territory of Valencia.

El presente volumen de Quaderns de Filologia: Estudis Lingüístics tiene como objetivo mostrar la importancia de la Onomástica para el estudio de la lengua, en especial del léxico y la etimología. Y lo hace con 15 trabajos: siete dedicados a estudiar el léxico antiguo conservado a través de la toponimia, tres de historia de la toponimia i la etimología, uno sobre teoría toponímica, dos sobre semántica y toponimia, uo sobre deonimia y otro sobre el pronombre personal en occitano.
